Characteristics/Applications of Torque Motors

1. Adjustable output torque
Equipped with a dedicated torque motor driver, changing the input voltage of the torque motor can change the output torque of the motor.
2. Suitable for winding
Continuous winding with constant tension, if the diameter of the winding shaft increases to 2 times, the output torque of the motor also needs to increase to 2 times, and the motor speed needs to be halved. The torque motor can easily achieve this proportional relationship.
3. Suitable for blocking transportation and turning
The characteristic of torque motor is that it can ensure stable torque output when in a locked rotor state or near a locked rotor low-speed operating state. Suitable for the purpose of blocking the transfer or ensuring that the motor is in a blocked state during the final stage of operation. The torque motor can operate for a long time in a locked rotor state without burning out.
Please note that when the transfer is blocked, the output torque will become very large. Do not exceed the allowable torque of the gearbox.
4. Suitable for unwinding
The torque motor rotates in the opposite direction under the action of external force, and has braking performance. Its braking force is about the torque of the locked rotor (with a speed of 0). This feature can be used to replace the friction disc of the magnetic powder brake to control the unwinding tension. It has the characteristics of low cost, long service life, and easy adjustment. During use, it is important to note that the reverse rotation speed of the motor end should not exceed 1500r/min.
